Speeches to convey a message are important, but not always easy. You have to take many things into account when you speak to a large audience. There are several reasons why it is important to convey a message in the form of a speech. The time
Speeches are usually thought out in advance. Most speeches therefore have a certain time limit. During that time you don’t have the opportunity to slowly build a relationship with the spectators. As a speaker, you must therefore ensure that you immediately reach the audience with what you want to convey to them with the speech. During a speech, a speaker speaks for longer periods of time than during a normal conversation. That is why, as a speaker, you must also ensure that you captivate the audience so that they do not drop out. Use simple structures in your story, repeat things and use examples.
The distance
When you are in a normal conversation you are of course not that far away from the person you are talking to. This is different during a speech. The distance between people is much greater. Remember this when you speak, use gestures that can be seen from a distance and speak loudly so you can be heard.
Public
When giving a speech you naturally have to be able to put yourself in the position of the audience. Consider what kind of audience you are presenting to. You must take the following three concepts into account:

- Attitudes
- Values
So think about the position the audience will have, their view of the world, their opinion of what is good and what is bad. By adapting to the audience you can keep their attention a lot better .
