Good intentions through projects

As the end of the year approaches, people start to think en masse about what they have achieved in the past year and what they would still like to achieve. Coming up with good intentions is usually the result of this. But how often do you keep those good intentions? Exactly, almost never! That is why there are various projects in which you set goals that you want to achieve. Every goal ticked off is an extra motivation to continue. Some of the projects are the ,Day zero project,, the ,Project 10 pan, and the ,365 days project,.

The “Day zero project”

The Day zero project is a project in which you set 101 goals that you must achieve in 1001 days. Many people keep track of their goals and progress on a blog or forum. The nice thing about this is that you can follow how other people participate in the project, which can further motivate you to keep it up. Of course, you can also keep track of your own goals and progress on a blog or forum.

The first 3 goals of the “Day zero project” have already been determined. These are:

  1. Buy a piggy bank.
    2. For each goal achieved, put an x amount in the piggy bank (for example a Euro).3. At the end of the 1001 days, do something fun with the money. Saving money is also an extra motivation to complete the project.

The nice thing about this project is that not all goals have to be serious. Have you ever wanted to build a 2-meter snowman? Or have you ever wanted to eat a lemon whole? Then this is your chance! For crazy goals you can of course also make a bet with friends or family. The money you have earned with this can also be added to your piggy bank.

Project 10 pan

With Project 10 pan you are supposed to make a list of 10 products that you must use before you can buy new products. For example, you can put cosmetics or make-up on this, but if you are in a buying frenzy for another type of products, you can also put these types of products on your list.

Benefits of the “Project 10 pan”

  1. You are more aware of what you normally buy. Maybe you buy a lot of things that you hardly use or that end up in the trash before they are completely used up.
    2. It saves money. You can save this money or spend it on other things.

You can also start tracking how much money you actually save with this project. If you know at what times you buy make-up, for example, go to the store where you normally do so and calculate how much money you would spend if you actually bought the products.

Of course you can also turn it into a Project 5 pan or a Project 20 pan. It just depends on how big you want to make the challenge for yourself!

The “365 days project”

The 365 day project is a project where you have to do something every day, for example take a photo or make a drawing. You post these photos, drawings or other things on the internet, so that other people can follow you and perhaps also encourage you to continue the project.

Variants

  • You can also give yourself a theme each week. With this theme you make a creation every day for a week. For example, you can choose the theme “yellow” or the theme “animals”. Challenge yourself!
  • Is creating something every day too much? Then make a creation every week.
  • Maybe you have a lot of cupboards, drawers, boxes and containers at home that quickly become a mess. Try to clean out one such cupboard, drawer, box or container every day!

If you work in themes, you can also take on the challenge with friends or other people, for example members of a forum. Everyone get to work on the same themes and choose a winner every week!
