Self-awareness to understand ourselves better

What is self-awareness? Self-awareness is part of our emotional maturity. If you trust yourself, do you possess self-awareness? Is it a way to understand ourselves better? What do you achieve in life with self-awareness? What is the benefit of self-awareness? Are you really a kind person who never hurts anyone, or is it actually something more subtle?

What is it?

What is self-awareness? Self-awareness is that you trust yourself, that you realize that you are a personality. That you exist and can make your own decisions. You trust your own decisions, while taking into account your own limitations, but also taking into account your own qualities. Self-awareness is the ability to deal with yourself.

Level

The level of self-awareness allows you to:

  • Objective and
  • To be described correctly.

For example: I am very kind and I would never hurt anyone. That’s correct to a certain extent, until someone touches my child. Then I am able to I have to take my limitations into account, because I am able to someone who has touched my child. My self-awareness level includes my limitations and I am aware of them. Think to yourself about the same sentence as mine above and then think about:

  • Animal abuse,
  • Child abuse,
  • People smuggling.

Perhaps you would like to describe yourself differently now?

Extreme

Of course, the above examples are extremes. In everyday life it is indeed a lot more subtle. For example: I am very kind and I would never hurt anyone. Until someone steals my parking spot or cuts me off. Or I have doubts about something for such a long time that I could do something to myself (so to speak!). In everyday life, the level of self-awareness is a little more subtle.

Adult

Emotional maturity affects our lives and affects what we can achieve in our lives. A basis of this emotional maturity is the ability to handle ourselves. Our self-awareness is a personal competence, the ability to deal with ourselves and depending on how well developed it is, you know yourself well, reasonably or insufficiently.

What can you do with it?

What can you do with self-awareness in life? What can you do with it? If you have sufficient self-awareness, you are able to accurately describe both yourself and your feelings. If you have sufficient self-awareness, you can accurately answer the following questions without faltering:

  • How are you?
  • How do you feel?
  • How is your career going and how do you feel about it?
  • How is your social life going and how do you feel about it?
  • How is your relationship going and how do you feel about it?

How self-aware are you?

Are you also wondering how self-conscious you are? Answer the questions below with someone who not only knows you well but also appreciates his or her judgment:

  • What are your strong points?
  • What do others actually value you for?
  • What are your weaknesses?
  • Which points really need to be improved?
  • How do others experience you?
  • How do others describe you if they had to describe you in all honesty?
  • How different are you when you are under pressure?
  • What should you do more often?
  • What should you absolutely avoid?
