General recipe for Turkish coffee
- Measure 1 cup of cold water into a coffee pan (cezve), add 1½ teaspoons of Turkish coffee powder and stir. With sugar if desired. Heat the mixture over a heat source. It should definitely not be allowed to boil further, as the foam will then be lost and the Turkish coffee will fail. Scoop the first foam into your cup with a spoon.
