What is humanism

Humanism is not a religion like Christianity, Judaism and Buddhism, for example, are. Humanists do not believe in God or an afterlife. They therefore do not believe, as many other religions do, that there is a certain higher purpose or plan. They do respect people who think differently about those things.

Humanism

Humanism puts people at the center and is based on the good of people. They assume that every person has a certain social responsibility and is able to distinguish between good and evil.

Humanists emphasize the dignity of man and the right of the individual to develop themselves to the best of their ability, but this must be compatible with the rights of others. Personal freedom must be combined with social responsibility. Respect for each other and your environment.

They believe that all people are equal; regardless of religion or race and believe that everyone has the right to equal treatment. An important rule here is; treat others as you want others to treat you. Humanists therefore strive for a society in which freedom, justice, tolerance, respect for human dignity and fellow humanity are central.

Development

They believe that humanity is constantly evolving. But this development and the pursuit of prosperity must not come at the expense of nature and the environment. They believe that we as humans come from nature and that we must therefore handle our planet responsibly.

Don’t believe in God

In short; humanists do not believe in God or anything like that and therefore actually believe that everything is possible and allowed. They believe that everyone has the right to as much freedom as possible and the opportunity to develop and develop themselves in this regard. However, this should not be done, or at least at the least possible expense, to the detriment of nature and the environment. That is why they are not only focused on themselves, but believe that they are also responsible for making the world livable for everyone.

According to humanism, everyone has the right to the best possible life, but it is also everyone’s responsibility to work to ensure that others have or receive the same.
