Become a stronger person, think positively

Sometimes everything goes against you. You fall from one misery to another. It’s hard to stay positive when things aren’t going your way. It is often your own thoughts and insecurity that get in the way of you thinking positively. Think positive and become a stronger person. Someone who can handle all the misery in the world and sees happiness in the smallest things. Everyone comes to a point in their lives when they no longer feel like doing what they want. It doesn’t work, you think you can’t do it. So much is happening in your life and around you that you get carried away with the negative things that life sometimes brings. How do you deal with this? How do you ensure that you do not become a victim of this? Simply put, think positive. Easier said than done, but practice makes perfect.

Some positive thoughts:

  • You are strong.
  • You can handle anything that comes your way.
  • Even though everything is taken from you, life force is something that is within you. No one can take that away from you.
  • No matter how nice and good someone else seems to have it, everyone has their own share of misery in life.
  • You’re not the only one.
  • No matter how dark the days seem, there is always a light to be found.
  • Look at what you do have and what you can do, instead of what you lack.
  • Failure is not the end of the world. See it as a new beginning.
  • Stop being afraid. Ask yourself what you are afraid of. The unknown? Think of it as an adventure.
  • Trust yourself that you can do it.
  • Is it bad? Then remember that it could always have been worse.

These thoughts can cheer you up when things are difficult.

A moment for yourself

What do you do when you get up and look at yourself in the mirror? Who do you see in front of you? It may sound stupid, but compliment that person in the mirror. Tell him what he is doing well and what other good he will do that day.

When, after a busy morning at work or with the kids, you finally have time for that cup of coffee (or tea if you’re not a coffee drinker), enjoy it. Take a deep breath through your nose and exhale all the stress of that moment through your mouth. Even if it’s only five minutes and the world is collapsing around you, keep your attention on that cup of coffee. It’s your five minutes.

Are you feeling down? Put on your favorite, happiest song very loudly and then start singing along. Music has a great influence on how you feel about yourself.

So is your attitude. Make yourself tall, stand straight, shoulders back. Would you like to bet that you will immediately feel a lot more confident?

Visualization is another method to put yourself in positive energy. Just imagine that you have a bright light surrounding you. Let that light grow brighter and bigger. Visualize a hard impenetrable shell around that egg.

Maybe the egg method is too vague for you, but you can still achieve more through visualization. See how you achieve your goal and feel the joy that brings. If you see and feel it, it motivates you more to actually get there.

Your biggest enemy is yourself

Ultimately, positive thinking lies in beating yourself. Your own negative thoughts and insecurity. In that area, your worst enemy is yourself. You talk yourself down. Are convinced you can’t do it. Afraid to go off. Even if it’s just that little voice in your head that says so. It is not the others who make you insecure, at most they are the ones who make that voice bigger. It’s that little voice, which everyone has, that makes you insecure and anxious. Don’t listen to that little voice, rise above it. Be aware of yourself and know that you can do it.

Don’t make your end goal too big. If you want to achieve something and the journey to get there is too long, it can be daunting. As a result, you stop before you’re halfway through. Divide your end goal into several smaller goals. Reward yourself when you have achieved a goal. Remember, there are more paths to walk. Sometimes you take the wrong path. No big deal, just try a different path.

Even if everything seems to be going wrong due to, for example, a disability or illness, this is not necessarily a reason to remain in a slump. Accept this limitation, but don’t let it run your life. You are still the conductor of your own life. You decide what happens. You determine your own boundaries. If you have reached your limit, try to go one step beyond it. Don’t look at what you can no longer do. Focus on what you can do. You are often capable of more than you think.
